Last week, Diapoint turned 8! And I turned 53. It is not a coincidence that I share the same birthday week with the diabetes hub I created.

Birthdays have a way of making us reflect. As I thought about life, health, and my work with my clients, I realized that some of the best lessons are the simplest.

I thought it might be helpful to share 53 tips to help you in your life, health, and wellness. Some are practical, some are mindset shifts, and all of them have made a difference in my journey. I hope a few resonate with you!

1. Drink more water than you think you need.

2. Move your body every day—walk, stretch, dance. Even cleaning and gardening count!

3. Prioritize sleep like it’s your job.

4. Whole, real food will always nourish you more than anything processed.

5. Set boundaries. Protect your time and energy.

6. Strength training is critical—especially as you age.

7. Health is not just about food and exercise; stress, time outdoors, hydration, downtime and so many other factors matter.

8. Cooking at home will always be better for you (and often cheaper).

9. You don’t need a fancy gym—bodyweight workouts work wonders.

10. Breathe deeply. Oxygen is fuel.

11. Your gut health affects your mood, energy, and overall well-being. Eat whole foods, mostly plants to support this.
